Sarah’s Story

Do you ever feel like you’re holding everything together on the outside while quietly running on empty inside? I know that feeling well. From a young age, I loved helping others, but as life unfolded, I found myself caught in stress and expectations. Even when everything looked “successful”, I felt overwhelmed and disconnected.

That experience led me to therapy, first for myself and then as a career. After years of education and hands-on experience, I founded Rise Therapy to support high-achieving men who want more balance, stronger relationships, and a sense of meaning beyond the grind.

My practice isn’t just about therapy sessions; it’s a supportive space where you feel understood and empowered. Together we navigate life’s complexities, find balance, and achieve a more fulfilling life. Your story, your struggles, and your triumphs drive my passion and commitment to this work.

I live in Encinitas, CA with my husband and daughter. I am a long time golfer and feel that the mental challenges of golf align with those of therapy. I’m passionate about helping men build lives they don’t need to escape from.

My typical client is a high-achieving man who feels the weight of his responsibilities and is ready to seek balance in his life. While I strive to help as many individuals as possible, my practice may not be the best fit for everyone. If you’re looking for a quick fix without the willingness to engage deeply in the therapeutic process, or if your primary concerns fall outside my areas of expertise, it might be best to seek a different type of support. My focus is on long-term growth and holistic improvement, which requires a genuine commitment and openness. Additionally, while I help with relationship issues, I only offer individual therapy, not couples therapy.
